The PR Collaborative

The press room where you belong.

I used to be an outsider to home.

I spent much of my childhood with my nose pressed to the bay window, watching real families inside homes gather around the table.

My mom and I moved a total of 13 times in 18 years, from a tiny apartment to a converted motel room, to a studio above the Santa Monica Pier carousel. (Sounds romantic. Wasn't.) During those years, I dreamed about what it would be like to live inside a stable home with matching sets of plates, cups, and sofas — where things were beautiful, well-made, and organized.

And then, for 20 years, I got paid to go into homes.

As the lifestyle editor at The Hollywood Reporter and a writer for Elle Decor, House Beautiful, The New York Times, and Architectural Digest, I got to visit homes and interview everyone from Diane Keaton to Sarah Jessica Parker, Kris Jenner and Will.i.am about a topic that touches pretty much everyone to the core: home.

I didn’t just get to go into homes. I got to tell their stories.

Instead of looking on the outside of PR, learn it from the inside.

Here’s the thing: while I didn’t have the physical home I dreamed about, my mom gave me all of the love in the world.

And when you have that kind of support and confidence, every door is open to you.

The PR Collaborative is a place where interior designers and photographers become their own PR strategists.

Here, members learn the exact tools to get press, and they transform their business with a supportive community and media placements that actually move the needle.
